Two cottages and adjoining barn: region £130.000 plus fees
First Cottage and adjoining barn Approximately 5 kms from the village of Brecéy in Southern Normandy close to the Bay of Mont St Michel. In fact you can see Mont St Michel from the top of the lane. Surrounded by well-established gardens with an abundance of cherry, pear, apple and damson trees, the cottage enjoys a sunny south facing aspect with views across the valley. The cottage has wisteria, honey suckle and grapevines growing along the walls. There is also an above ground swimming pool set in the gardens. The cottage has a slate roof, three bedrooms, and bathroom. Downstairs there is a large living kitchen, complete with electric oven gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a fridge. As the cottage is let throughout the summer months as a holiday cottage ALL the furnishings and appliances will be included in the asking price, so it is ready to let out or to move into. Adjoining the house are stone barns, these have the
potential to restore to make either the house a lot larger or convert into
another gite/holiday cottage, thereby increasing your income on holiday letting
or making a much larger home. The first cottage has been run as a gite/holiday cottage since 1998 and we
have between 14 to 16 weeks lettings each year, with an annual income from these
weeks of approximately £6,500. Our holiday weeks tend to run from May through to
mid September. We have a web site that publicises the gite and this together
with our other publicity material is included in the selling price. The site address is: |
